Diesel Dyno Day at Conley's Performance Plus ( http://www.conleyracing.com/ ) on the north side of Houston. The dyno DOES read torque and horsepower on diesels and can take all sizes of trucks including dually's.
Conley's is known for some of the worlds fastest Grand Nationals and they have there own 6 second, 220+ MPH Camero they race. These guys know Drag Racing and how to make a lot of power.

There are drag racing, sled pulling competitions, dyno, burnout contests and SHOW 'n' SHINE. The following competition classes will run:

Barn Bash
Saturday evening, after motorsports competition has concluded for the day, DHRA's first ever after-hours Barn Bash will commence, featuring peanuts, sawdust, adult beverages, the Country Butts Contest and a country music concert. Trent Willmon, the fast-rising country star, is the headline act.
The wristband issued for Saturday's motorsports events at HRP is your admission ticket to what promises to be the best part of this diesel lifestyle event.

2 PM - Top Diesel & Pro Diesel Exhibition runs; Pro Street, Quick Diesel, DieselPower! ET Bracket Shootout and ODRA drag racing eliminations begin and continue until complete.

Other Activities
Sergeant Smash Monster Truck Rides: noon 'til end of show; $8.
Sled Pull Ride-Along Raffles - $5 per chance for a ride in a Modified Diesel truck during a sled pull in Haisley Machine's Rock Hard Ram and Off Constantly and Scheid Diesel's truck. Proceeds from Haisley's raffles will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation; proceeds from Scheid's raffle will benefit the Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society.
August 12- Saturday – Lake “O” Family Day, BBQ and Camping
HAPS August 12th event will be a family day at Mark Weber's parents (Joyce and Calvin Oberhoff) home.
At Joyce and Calvin home is a private one-acre pond for swimming and fishing. There is a lot of shade under the trees and always a breeze blowing. The Pond house is air-conditioned. The pond has a sand beach area and a dock area. HAPS will have the grill going.
So, load up your family, bring your fishing poles, pack your coolers and toss some lawn chairs in your truck and let's eat, swim and talk/play trucks.

12 noon, till Sunday (I'm serious about “till Sunday”), there are a number of guys bringing travel trailers and spending the weekend.

Directions: Highway 59 South to Rosenberg . Take the Highway 36 exit and turn left at the light and head South on Highway 36. Go about 10 miles to the City of Needville . At the first stop light in Needville on Highway 36, turn right onto School Street (FM 1236) and go one block and take the first right onto Charity Street. Go to the stop sign, and turn right onto Richmond Street . Go approx a 1/4 mile and you will see a brown & white 3 car barn on the left. The pond will be visible behind this barn. Turn left at the first driveway past the big drive for the barn and you will see the pond and pond house behind the barn.

July 8th – Saturday – BBQ and Camping at Lake Somerville
Like the last 2 years, HAPS will be in the area of the pavilion (GP1) at Rocky Creek Park . The closest camping spots are numbers 196 - 203. These spots are available for rent (first come basics) through www.reserveusa.com . HAPS will make a long day/weekend of BBQ'ing, boating and swimming. There will be lots of shade under the trees and tents. Bring the family, friends, boats, jet ski's and campers. Lake Somerville is just over an hour from NW Houston. It is easy to make a day trip out of it.
Do bring your own drinks and chairs.

May 23rd –Tuesday – HTC Golf Tournament
Once again, Phil Salinas and the Houston Truck Club (HTC) has invited HAPS to participate in their annual Golf Tournament. HTC a group of Ford Fleet Sales people that HAPS joins with for the HAPS Christmas Party. Navistar and Ford North American Fleet Service will have a presence this day with knowledge of upcoming Ford/Navistar information.
For the Second year, HAPS will sponsor a hole.
